KYMS Déjà vu!
(Our tour of old cassette recordings is interrupted by this special message)
Several months ago, I was contacted by a gentleman named Vince Daniels, asking if I had any more KYMS jingles, etc, on my collection of JM tapes. I shared what I had with him, and he said he was working on a special to post on YouTube, several hours of music from KYMS from 1975 to 1981, covering Jesus music’s golden age, its years of first maturity and widespread distribution. He wanted to do it in a historical format, playing the music and its relation to KYMS (see my page about KYMS here).
Now, after considerable work that was going on long before he contacted me, Vince is nearly ready to present his completed work. Here is the preview video:
This post takes a break from song lyrics.. Instead, I want to point out articles that I have put up as pages on this site. See the “Pages” section to the right, or click on the “Radio” button at the top of any page of the site to see these articles.
The first article briefly discusses where I heard most of my first “Jesus music” songs.
The second article gives background about The Scott Ross Show, including airchecks from the show.
The third article expands on the information on KYMS 106.3 from Santa Ana, California beyond what I posted in the Wikipedia article about the station, including airchecks of the jingles played by the station during its years of operation.

There are other articles planned; see the Contents on each page of this Radio section for a list of coming attractions. I’ll make mention of them here when they are completed and ready to read.
