Carried

Today’s featured song: He Will Carry You by Tim Sheppard from the 1981 album Forever.

For this, track 17 on Tape JM-31, I’ve had to break my rule of using music directly off the cassette, primarily because as I was getting the lyrics I found that I was missing the first verse. With some effort I was able to find a copy of the track on a web site (could not find it on iTunes or Amazon), and have used that more complete version here today. It is a great, comforting song to just remind me that I cannot do it myself; I need Jesus to get me through every day of my life.

He will carry you, when your love won’t go any farther
When you’ve waved goodbye to the very last dream of your life
He will carry you, when the tears fall down like a river
When you cry in the night, not to wake to the morning light

He will carry you, He will carry you
Shine His love on you
When you’ve given up, He will lift you up
Wrap His arms around you
When you can’t go on, He will make you strong
Never let you go
He will carry you, no matter how heavy your load

And even though He loves you so
You gotta take a lot of heartache if you ever want to grow
So don’t give in to the fears within
You gotta know He’ll be there to catch you when you’re fallin’
He’ll never turn away when he hears you callin’

He will carry you, He will carry you
Shine His love on you
When you’ve given up, He will lift you up
Wrap His arms around you
When you can’t go on, He will make you strong
Never let you go, no no no
He will carry you, no matter how heavy your load

He will carry you, He will carry you
Shine His love on you
When you’ve given up, He will lift you up
Wrap His arms around you
When you can’t go on, He will make you strong
Never let you go, oh no
He will carry you, no matter how heavy your load

He will carry you, no matter how heavy your load

(repeated)
